OPEN TRACK 2011

ALKMAAR TRACK RACING

nice event in alkmaar, perfect to sweat out all the booze from karneval the week before.
if anyone has a van and is going, sign me up for the ride!

found here.

MORE PICTURES FROM THE REVIVAL SUNDAY

GOODBYE ROAD SEASON

winter is coming with giant steps, no chance to get some training miles after work so it's time to get back to the track.
here are some nice pictures from this summer and tonights training session at the Albert Richter Bahn in Cologne.

SUNDAY RIDE

did a short training ride with the lady today. rode with my heavy loaded messenger bag and I'm really happy with my decision to take the carradice bag on tour instead.

VELODROME IN COLOGNE

albert-richter-bahn
in cologne, just besides the football stadium. it's really fun to ride here, the tracks are really steep, up to 43°. always scary for the first few rounds, but you get used to it.
the pictures don't really show the steepness, but check the picture I found on milano fixed.

if you're from cologne and you are interested in track cycling, contact me or visit RC Adler, the cycling club I'm riding for.

RIDING BACK INTO TOWN

coming back from a 85 km ride to bonn.

SPRING HAS SPRUNG

besides my everyday commute, I had my first longer training ride this weekend, rode ~75km around the open-cast coal mines and the powerplants in the west of cologne, took me 3,5 hours.
riding comfort was really good, but my new AME Tristar grips are not as soft as the ourys.

took a few pictures, hope you'll enjoy.

you can hear a sizzling noise standing besides those generators and cables at the powerplant, really weird!
